With integrity defined as a mark of the true nature of things, what relationships exist
between integrity, landscape, and patterns and processes? Most everything we eat,
drink, make and use comes from the land. Landscapes are shaped and formed by
patterns and processes inherent to life. Patterns and processes that sustain and aid
the general growth and diversity of life, communicate integrity. The lack of integrity
in the landscape can be seen where pollution, loss of habitat, extinction and the overall
decay of healthy environments are experienced. At Living Habitats, we believe that as
time tests our design solutions, our clients’ search for beauty and stewardship of their
property can be made more enjoyable and profitable when founded upon principles
of integrity that we use to guide design decisions.
